Forrest Associates was started over 45 years ago, in San Jose, California, in 1977 by Gregory Forrest serving what today are some of the world’s largest companies and most advanced global brands. Since our start, clients have worked with Forrest Associates because of a proven, hands-on approach to growth and value-creation. Today, our clients work with us for that same “dig-in” and “roll-up our sleeves” type of commitment to sales and marketing excellence.

Ian Forrest, Managing Partner
Brett Belcher, Principal
A seasoned banking professional, Brett has over thirty years of global management experience with a bias for risk management and strategy. He has successfully designed, developed and deployed new enterprise risk models, built innovative credit risk platforms and integrated risk management into some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
Brett has held executive management roles with banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe. Most recently, Brett was the Chief Risk Officer for Equal Bank, Czech Republic. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Twisto, a CEE payments company helping the company with corporate strategy and growth. Brett was also one of the youngest leaders in the Office of Thrift Supervision, a bureau of the US Department of the Treasury.
Brett holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a MS in Cognitive Neuroscience from King’s College in London.
With nearly three decades of marketing and management experience, Ian has personally led and built world-class marketing and commercial teams across multiple industries, geographies and market environments. He is known as a strong growth leader with a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving. He thrives in ultra-competitive markets, turnarounds and high-growth business targets.
Prior to Forrest Associates, Ian was the Global Marketing Officer for New York Life Investments. Ian has held Chief Marketing Officer roles with BlackRock and GE/GE Capital. He has worked with leading brands leading product development for Verizon, category management for Newell Rubbermaid before starting his career with Johnson and Johnson.
Ian graduated from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont University with a Master’s in Business Administration. Earlier, Ian graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in Economics from the University of Southern California.
